Caliph-Crane

There is a lovely fairy tale by by Wilhelm Haulf Caliph-Stork, and there is a great soviet time russian cartoon based on the fairytale. Which had been always inspiring me.

Finally I came up with illustration for it.
I used Hyde as a ref for Caliph, so he might be recognizable. also I used kinda Arab like utensils, but with Japanese patterns, thus Stork changed into a Crane.

Blackand white inks and a bit of white dry pastel.
